Rubber

Rubber for automated production of products

The large variety of applications for TANIQ's technology demands for compatibility with various rubber compounds. TANIQ's technology uses rubber strip winding to enable accurate, efficient and fast automation. Therefore, changing from rubber sheets in the conventional manual process to strips is required. Changing to a different rubber compound or supplier is however NOT required. TANIQ's technology is developed to incorporate your material and material expertise with libraries in the design software. Moreover, the rubber tools for automated rubber winding have been designed for maximum compatibility - as long as the rubber is supplied in strips on a spool.

Suitable rubber types

TANIQ's technology is compatible with practically all types of rubber. The rubber properties are entered in the database in the design software. When designing a product, it will include the rubber properties and generate a production file for the robot. The rubber layers in the design are accurately recreated by the robot and rubber tool because of this link between the design software and robotic set-up. The strip sizes depend on the robotic system used. The rubber tool developed for the medium size robotic set-up is compatible with strips ranging from 40 to 80 mm. The rubber tool used in the robotic set-up for automated production of large hoses, has been designed for rubber strips from 80 mm to 150 mm.  For both tools, the rubber thickness determines the total length on a single spool with a maximum of 25 kg of rubber on a spool for the medium size tool and 60 kg for the large hose tool.

Together with rubber compounders, customers and partners, TANIQ performs continues material research to test adhesion and rubber behaviour in combination the automated production tools.
